[ Intro ] I am the Monster - Under Your Bed. [ Verse 1 ] I'm gonna be honest. It's not really good news. You did hear somethin'. Let's make no excuse. They'll tell you it's alright. But we both know they lie. I am the flicker. At the edge of your eye. [ Pre-Chorus ] Oh, I am the footfall - you caught creaking in the night. I am gonna find you - wherever you might hide. [ Chorus ] Yes I am the Monster... I'm terribly real. Already behind you... No chance for a deal. Not over your shoulder... 'Cause I'm in your head. I am the Monster... Under Your Bed. [ Verse 2 ] Don't know what to tell you. I live off your fear. Your imagination. Is what brought me here. You're not gonna spot me. Here in the dark. Just try to accept this. Let me leave my mark. [ Pre-Chorus ] Oh, the house is not settling - it's really not the pipes. The truth is I go anywhere - wherever I like. [ Chorus ] Yes I am the Monster... I'm terribly real. Already behind you... No chance for a deal. Not over your shoulder... 'Cause I'm in your head. I am the Monster... Under Your Bed. [ Bridge ] There's no use trying to fight this. I'm here for the duration. Please remember I am here. At your invitation. [ Final Chorus ] Yes I am the Monster... I'm terribly real. Already behind you... No chance for a deal. Not over your shoulder... 'Cause I'm in your head. I am the Monster... Under Your Bed! [ Outro ] (Under Your Bed)
