相思一寸一成灰。
庭院萧声如雨落，
穿山过谷却无回。

旧日繁华犹在目，
万箭穿心终似常。
命里聚散皆前定，
此花开罢彼花香。

走不尽相思路，
相思尽处是归途。
若问此心何处憩，
风浅语来——随缘自有时。

山路层峦风声亮，
灯火千家落酒香。
抬眼星潮铺天远，
心愿随夜踏云光。

The Road of Longing

In winter’s hush, one waits for falling snow—
such longing bears no fault.
When the crescent wanes, the thought of parting
rises once more upon the fading light.
A cherished soul has wandered far,
beyond three thousand distant li;
yet as quiet dreams return by night,
the wind grows chill with unspoken sighs.

Across the ages, love is sorrow—
each breath of yearning turns to dust.
Flute-notes drift through empty courts
like rain upon forgotten stone,
seeking through mountains and deep valleys,
yet finding no path back.

Days once splendid still glimmer before the eyes;
ten thousand arrows through the heart
