Verse 1 They built their altar high and wide Danced all day ‘til the sun had died Called to a god who’d lost his way But he didn’t show up, not yesterday (Spoken interlude) "Maybe he's busy, maybe he's asleep... maybe he's stuck in traffic!" Chorus Shout louder, they said—but no fire came No answer fell when they cried his name But one still voice broke through the din And lit the sky with glory again! Verse 2 (kept) We don’t bow down to wood or stone Our God speaks and shakes the throne He fed the flames with holy rain And called His children back again Bridge (condensed) So go ahead and shout and spin— But only One can cleanse your sin Final Chorus Shout louder, they said—but the silence stayed Till heaven roared and the false gods swayed Now we lift a praise that shakes the ground For the fire of God has come back down! Outro – Call and Response Leader: Is your god sleeping? Choir: Our God wakes the dead! Leader: Can your idol save you? Choir: Our Savior bled! Leader: Then praise His name! Choir: We praise His name! All: He’s the God who answers flame with flame!
