The cardiologist that I got was the same one that read the echo. He said it’s likely I’ll need the valve replaced much earlier than most people in my 50s but that it’s definitely not bad enough right now to replace it right now. He prescribed me a beta blocker for the electrical issues causing PVCs. He said we’ll do an annual echo because of the bi-valve to assure that it’s stenosis is not causing the aorta to enlarge. He said right now it’s still quite malleable and he doesn’t recommend replacement surgery. The recommendation is to eat healthy and lose some weight and take the beta blockers for the PVCs. He ordered a cat scan just for exra precautions because of odd pains I have, probably just to alleviate my worry. I have a follow up with him in February after the CAT scan.
