When the Carousel Stops | DjΞXCΞΞD Perhaps we were always meant to meet On a carousel Beneath dying lights And a moon that had forgotten how to shine You held my hand As the whole world spun Round and round Till there was only us Your face appeared Then disappeared Through every shadow Every turn And for a moment I believed We could stay there Forever But the music slowed And your fingers loosened I held on You let go Then somehow One more turn And there you were Again When the carousel turns I fall for you again Every circle takes me back To where we began You come close Then disappear With the music With the years And I know where this goes I know how it ends But when the carousel turns I fall for you again Maybe that was always us Moving without going anywhere Passing the same painted horses Breathing the same midnight air Every goodbye Came back around Every ending Found its start We learned how to leave each other But never how To stay apart Then the music slowed And your eyes found mine Like neither one of us Remembered why We ever tried To say goodbye When the carousel turns I fall for you again Every circle takes me back To where we began You come close Then disappear With the music With the years And I know where this goes I know how it ends But when the carousel turns I fall for you again One last dance That’s all I’d ask No second chance No changing the past Just your hand Back inside mine Your face beneath Those flickering lights Let the city disappear Let the morning never come Let the music keep on playing Because I know... When it stops You’ll be gone So let the carousel turn Let me fall for you again Take me once around the night Back to where we began Come close Before you disappear Let me have you While you’re here I already know How the story ends But let the carousel turn Let me love you again Just once... Let me love you again The lights go out The music slows Your hand slips Out of mine And there you go Perhaps we were always meant To love like this Round and round Until the music... Stops. #WhenTheCarouselStops #AlternativeBallad #CinematicBallad #BittersweetLove #LoveSong #OriginalMusic #DjExceed DjΞXCΞΞD | @DjExce3d Lyrics: © 2026 DjΞXCΞΞD Music and Arrangement: © 2026 DjΞXCΞΞD All rights reserved.
