It's time to go. Julian is leaving Philadelphia to travel around the world. In each of the cities he visits, he will perform in bars and at private parties to finance his trip. ******************************************* © Copyright (2025) ******************************************* Verse 1 The old brick buildings watch me go, My packed suitcase sits on the floor low. This grand adventure starts far away, I’ll carry your spirit every day. Chorus Don't you forget me. I will return soon. Goodbye, my old town. I love you all. Verse 2 I hugged my friends one last time now, We shared laughter with a simple vow. I’ll miss our talks by the river wide, Your true kindness helped me walk with pride. Chorus Don't you forget me. I will return soon. Goodbye, my old town. I love you all. Verse 3 South Philly steaks tasted truly great, The art museum stairs sealed my fate. We walked across the large green mall, These happy memories save me from the fall. Chorus Don't you forget me. I will return soon. Goodbye, my old town. I love you all. Verse 4 The open road is calling me so, My music will cross where blue waters flow. I’ll find myself on foreign new ground, But Philadelphia is where I am bound. Chorus Don't you forget me. I will return soon. Goodbye, my old town. I love you all. Goodbye, my old town. I love you all...
