My eyes began to wonder And my lip dried out so quickly My legs were paralyzed And my breathing sounded sickly The air around was fading As the light continued leaving I could almost feel your presence But our time was then depleting Your voice echoed inside my ears Like hummingbirds Or bumblebees Attracted to a flower But the fly trap must continue feeding Nature and nurture Were friends nor a foes They were simply present Mourning their losses And counting the seconds Until the burial would begin I was still conscious Though barely As the dirt piled onto my coffin And the remaining air escaped my lungs I could almost feel your presence And your hands still wrapped around my neck Screaming out its not my fault Ill feel better in the end It was mercy killing You swore upon it Because the cancer wouldn't leave And fall was coming soon I was thirsty for your love And i hungered for your glow And now i starve inside a box My skin was falling off As it slowly decomposed I could almost feel your presence But now youre just a ghost And the memories still haunt me But the memories i hold Have become ash and dust I could almost feel your presence Fallen angels sing Im finally coming home
