I Let Her Go

V4.5+

This is a new interpretation of my song "Let Her Go – I Am Eveline". The first release from April 2025 can be found in my playlist "A Thousand Echoes". As long as I’m still here, I keep creating my album – The Cancer Cloud – song by song. This is my gift to my loved ones. A legacy in songs – so that even when I’m no longer here, a part of me will still sing into the silence. 🔗 https://suno.com/playlist/e0a96b29-618c-43a5-bed6-112f4b6633f5 💥🕊️💥🕊️💥🕊️ CT Result April 2025: The tumors are growing again. The doctors are running out of options – and so am I. But I won’t let go without saying what needs to be said. For 19 years, I’ve fought lung cancer. Over and over. No metastases. Just a steady, cruel storm inside my chest. Every time it came back, I learned something. I grew. I survived. But this time, I couldn’t see the lesson… until now. I was born as Susanna – left alone in a hospital crib for six weeks. No arms to hold me. No mother’s voice. At seven weeks old, Eveline was the name I was given by the adoptive parents who raised me in love. Two names. Two lives. But one of them never healed. One still cries in the dark. Today I let go of Susanna. With love. With tears. She does not define me anymore. She is the shadow I thank – and release. Because I am Eveline. And I am still here. This song is the fire I light in my lung. To the cancer: I see you. But now you see me. I. Am. Not. Afraid. 💥🕊️💥🕊️💥🕊️ I was born in silence In a crib no one claimed Named by absence Touched by no one Susanna was her name The one with no mother No arms to hold her Just six weeks of light and hunger But she survived And then she stayed She watched from the shadows Held my breath when I sang Cried inside me Every time the cancer came back But now I let her go I burn the name in golden flame No more split, no more ache I claim the sky in Eveline’s name I am not two. I am one I am here. I’m not done Doctors say it’s a miracle No one lives this long with this But it’s no miracle It’s unfinished business The child they left The soul they forgot The love that never arrived Susanna, I thank you For holding my pain But your story ends here You do not carry this body anymore I do, Eveline does And she knows how to breathe I let Susanna go She was the scream I never voiced But I am the song The voice. The choice I rise with lungs that crack and shine I am Eveline And this is my time Susanna goes With grace. With light. With peace She does not look back And I do not call her name again Eveline sings And the air Belongs to me I am Eveline I buried my past Now I bury you, Cancer Cancer, I bury you ✒️✒️✒️✒️✒️✒️ Lyrics and text © 2025 Thousand Tomorrows.
