Verse 1 Didn’t have much to do, Feelin’ down and kinda blue. Instead of runnin’ to hide, I went for a run outside Pre-Chorus One step at a time, One day at a time. Chorus I went running with Jesus, Because He knows the way. I went running with Jesus, The best way to start my day. Verse 2 I downloaded an app, Could barely run half. Each day just one thing to choose: Put on them running shoes. Pre-Chorus One step at a time, One day at a time. Chorus I went running with Jesus, Because He knows the way. I went running with Jesus, The best way to start my day. Bridge It wasn’t just the running, It was being outside. Seeing God’s creation Was great for my mind. Swear I saw the birds cheering for me, As I finally made it past mile three. When you are all alone, Without a single clue, Lace them sneakers right up, There’s just one thing to do: Final Chorus Go running with Jesus, He knows the way. Go running with Jesus, Best way to start your day. Go running with Jesus, He knows the way. Go running with Jesus, Best way to start your day.
