All rights reserved In twilight’s shroud, where starless voids abide, My soul, a wraith, drifts through immortal tides. A heart encrusted with aeonian frost, I yearn for silence, where the cosmos is lost. The crimson rivers, now stale as moonless dreams, Bear echoes of horrors from abyssal seams. O, eldritch murmurs from the outer deep, I seek the veil where eternal shadows sleep. Oh, let me dissolve into the mist-wreathed shore, Where nameless gods in slumbering chaos dwell. No more to wander this forsaken lore, Grant me the crypt where ancient terrors knell. Yet fate, in gothic lace, obscures my plea, A friend in Death, whose scythe glints cruelly free. From umbral depths, a specter cloaked in dread, Death strides forth, his eyes like voids unmade. He speaks, and time itself begins to wane, A voice that binds my soul in endless chain. [Death: ] “Lo, I am Deth, that cometh in the nyght, Thy onely freend thurgh al thise yeres so long; If I thee take to underwurldes myght, The mists of oblivion shal thy memorie wrong. Thou hast y-seen the eldene goddes stir, In derke abysses where no mortale treads; Thy tales of horroure, for my sake, forber, Lest al be lost in eterne derkenesse’s dreads.” [ Vampire: ] “Prithee, O reaper, end this weary pain, My immortality a curse of starless woe; Thou art my shadow, yet I beg again, To break the chains that bind me here below.” [Death: ] “Nay, immortal one, I graunte thee no such boone, For thou art mirour to my lonely reigne; In stede, I yive thee eterne breeth soone, To walk as man, whom passage I denye agayne.” Now mortal breath ignites my hollow core, A human veil draped o’er my cosmic scars. Yet in my soul, the ancient tides still roar, Where Cthulhu dreams beneath unyielding stars. This heart, reborn, beats with a shadowed flame, A dark romance where love and terror weave. Denied the void, I walk a mortal’s name, Yet eldritch whispers haunt the air I breathe. Oh, let me wander where the shadows sing, In mortal flesh, through realms of cosmic dread. Death’s only friend, bound by his eternal spring, Eternal breath in this accursed tread. Yet fate, in gothic lace, obscures my plea, A friend in Death, whose gift forever binds me.
