Straw on the Breeze

Authentic 19th-century Appalachian mountain folk and early American bluegrass-inspired ballad fused with atmospheric black metal and cinematic ambience, Fingerpicked acoustic guitar, clawhammer banjo, mournful fiddle, mountain dulcimer, upright bass, and lonely harmonica perform with raw front-porch authenticity, preserving string squeaks, foot taps, breathing, and wooden-room ambience, Gradually engulfed by immense walls of tremolo-picked guitars, thunderous yet organic drums, deep resonant bass, distant choirs, haunting strings, and vast ambient textures, Deep weathered Southern baritone lead, occasionally joined by ghostly layered harmonies, Dynamic contrast between fragile acoustic intimacy and overwhelming black metal crescendos, Melancholy, reverent, ancient, beautiful, and crushing all at once, Sounds like forgotten Appalachian folklore echoing across mist-covered mountains beneath an endless star-filled sky, mixed with Black Metal screams and roars

[Verse] Ol' Susie Greenleaf... Done said she loved me... But plum went... Up and showed me... There warn't no truth... In them there words... Just a serpent's venom... That turnt my blood to curds... [Banjo picking and heavy guitar riff followed by instrumental] [Chorus] Ohhhhhh... WHERE!!! IS LITTLE SUSIE!!? Shes been gone... For so long... OUT UNDER THE OZARK!!! Canopy... Somewhere out there... Little Susie sleeps... EeeeeehAhhhhhhh!!! [Banjo picking and heavy guitar riff followed by instrumental] [Verse] Oh Dasie... Maguire... Told me so true... It's forever... Me and you... But lil' Maguire... Was A Big Liar!!! Caught her in the hay... With another suitor... It Ain't My Fault!!! These here ladies... Up and vanish... Like straw on a breeze... Hahhh! Hahhh! YEEEAAAHHH!!! [Banjo picking and instrumental] [Chorus] Ohhhhhh... WHERE!!! IS SWEET Dasie!!? She never come home... From her frolic... OUT THERE SOMEWHERE!!! Under the Ozark Boughs... Rests a fallen Dasie... A purty lil' flower... THAT WAS A WEED!!! EeeeeehAhhhhhhh!!! [Banjo picking and heavy guitar riff followed by instrumental] [Refrain] Yodel-lay-yodel-lay-lah-lenzy! Sure hope Mackenzie... Can remain true... Don't know what I'll do... IF SHE TURNS TRAITOR!!! Home-wreckin' betrayer... Like the rest... Seen fit to do... But on my walks... Out in them woods... As a precaution... I'll keep you in mind... Look to find... A beautiful place... For you to... [Outro] AHHHHHHH!!! MACKENZIE!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!? I can't believe... You left to... Why Can't They Stay!? What's a man to do... When women folk... Vanish with such ease... Like straw... On the breeze... [Banjo picking and heavy guitar riff followed by instrumental solo leading to fade out] [End]
