[Verse 1] It’s ten o’clock And Dad’s on patrol Pajamas on the sofa Remote control He peeks at the door Like a private eye Then says to the ceiling With a serious face [Pre-Chorus] Where’s the backpack? Where’s the shoe? Why’s the cookie jar In the stew? Everybody freezes Like a game show prize Then the whole room waits For the famous line [Chorus] It’s ten o’clock Do you know Where your kids are? (Where your kids are?) It’s ten o’clock Check the couch Check the bath Check the cookie jar (Where your kids are?) [Verse 2] Mom’s at the window With a worried grin The goldfish is missing The cat let him in One kid’s in a fort Made of laundry and glue One’s under the table Saying “I was never here” [Pre-Chorus] The lamp is blinking The dog is smug Someone’s in trouble For drawing on the rug Dad calls the stairs Like he’s on a mission And the hall echoes back With suspicious shushes [Chorus] It’s ten o’clock Do you know Where your kids are? (Where your kids are?) It’s ten o’clock Check the couch Check the bath Check the cookie jar (Where your kids are?) [Bridge] [Half-time] The clock is judging The snacks are gone A tiny sock Is hanging on The TV glows The adults all stare Then three small voices yell “We’ve been right here!” [Chorus] It’s ten o’clock Do you know Where your kids are? (Where your kids are?) It’s ten o’clock Check the couch Check the bath Check the cookie jar (Where your kids are?) It’s ten o’clock Now they know Where the kids are (We were right here!)
