[Spoken intro] I tell ya. There was a time I didn't believe in a higher power... and that changed the day I felt his noodly appendage reach out to me. [Verse 1] I never was a religious man, Whether Yahweh, Zeus, or Ra; I only believed in my own self, And what I felt and heard and saw. But one day I fell down a ravine, And saw a vision before my eyes; Somethin' I'd never ever seen, A creature who told me to rise; It reached out to me, Offering a noodle to help me up; That was when I knew my Lord, The Flying Spaghetti Monster himself showed up. [Chorus] The day he appeared, A flyin' mass of sketti and meatball; And told me he would help me, Was the day I'd seen it all; So to all o' you who suffer, All you who do despair; Just let His noodles embrace you, And know the Spaghetti Monster cares. [Verse 2] I awoke in the hospital next mornin', The doc wondered how I was alive; It's a miracle, he said, no foolin', An' I said "I just let the Spaghetti drive." He brought me to the ER, And parked the car for me; Then he waved His noodly appendage, The Spaghetti Monster that saved me. [Chorus] The day he appeared, A flyin' mass of sketti and meatball; And told me he would help me, Was the day I'd seen it all; So to all o' you who suffer, All you who do despair; Just let His noodles embrace you, And know the Spaghetti Monster cares. [Verse 3] To this day, I owe my life, To the Spaghetti monster, man; So now I joined his church, And I'm his number one fan! And if you listen as noodles boil, You just might hear the call; Of the lord of Pasta nearby, For he watches over us all.
