Our Inheritance Before I knew Your holy name, Your love had called me near. Through Christ, Your Son, You welcomed me, And taught my heart to hear. Not by the works my hands have done, Nor treasures I possess, But by the riches of Your grace, I stand in righteousness. You are my portion, Lord, my God, My hope beyond the years. My inheritance is life with You, Beyond all pain and tears. I am Your child, redeemed by love, Through Christ, forever free. And when my earthly journey ends, My home is found in Thee. When I have wandered from Your ways, Your mercy calls me home. With contrite heart I turn again, No longer mine to roam. Your grace restores my weary soul, Your Spirit makes me new. And every step upon this road, I learn to trust in You. You are my portion, Lord, my God, My hope beyond the years. My inheritance is life with You, Beyond all pain and tears. I am Your child, redeemed by love, Through Christ, forever free. And when my earthly journey ends, My home is found in Thee. I cannot see beyond the hills, Nor know what lies ahead. Yet by Your Word my soul is fed, By faith my steps are led. I need not hold tomorrow’s plans, Nor fear what I can’t see. For You who hold eternity, Are walking here with me. You are my portion, Lord, my God, My hope beyond the years. My inheritance is life with You, Beyond all pain and tears. I am Your child, redeemed by love, Through Christ, forever free. And when my earthly journey ends, My home is found in Thee. O Holy Spirit, seal my heart, And guide me by Your light. Preserve me in the Father’s love, Through every earthly night. The promise of the life to come, Already shines within. A pledge of glory yet unseen, Through Christ who conquered sin. And when at last my journey ends, And earthly shadows cease, May I behold my Savior’s face, And enter into peace. No greater treasure could I ask, No richer gift could be, Than dwelling with the One I love, For all eternity. You are my portion, Lord, my God, My hope beyond the years. My inheritance is life with You, Beyond all pain and tears. I am Your child, redeemed by love, Through Christ, forever free. And when my earthly journey ends, My home is found in Thee. My home is found in Thee. My home is found in Thee. Amen.
