The Last Balloon (Remastered)

[Verse] A red balloon drifts through the sky A lonely dot that's floating high The wind it whispers soft and low Where will this little wanderer go [Verse 2] It left the carnival's bright light Escaping hands that held too tight Above the trees it finds its place A tiny speck in endless space [Chorus] Oh the last balloon it sails away To chase the dreams of yesterday No strings to hold no ties to bind Just a fleeting wish in the endless sky [Verse 3] The sun it dips the moon appears The stars they whisper through the years The balloon it bobs a gentle dance A fleeting moment a fleeting chance [Bridge] The world below a patchwork quilt Of hopes and dreams and things we built But up above it all seems small The last balloon it sees it all [Chorus] Oh the last balloon it sails away To chase the dreams of yesterday No strings to hold no ties to bind Just a fleeting wish in the endless sky
