Storm P og Penselselskabet [NDC w. 27]

**English lyrics at the bottom: to keep the structure it is not 1:1, but almost** **This song also deserves a small explanation. I'm a historian (not working the field though), and this conspiracy is taken from my own backyard. Storm P. was Danish and is/was famous for his satirical paintings and comic strips, often containing the weirdest of inventions. Inventions meant to make life easier but often the point was depicting it as a ludacris idea all together. Anyway, there is a niche conspiracy theory about him being part of the Freemasons and that his paintings and sketches are keys to plots of unknown character but revolving about the ones truly holding power in society. Well, classic, but native to my country and the city I live in. <<<<< ENGLISH >>>>> Storm P. and the Secret Pen Society Verse 1 I took a walk in Frederiksberg, one rainy afternoon There stood a man just painting, by the sidewalk near a dune He whispered: “Storm P. was more than a clown He sketched out a plan to keep the world down” Verse 2 “His men with hats – they’re watching you And the machines are spies in disguise, it’s true There are angles and eyes in the shadows behind A secret brush guild that’s steering your mind” Chorus Storm P., Storm P., what lies behind your smile? Was your ink a code, your laughter all the while? Were you the lodge’s painter with truths we’re not to see? Was your satire the key – to some strange reality? Verse 3 In the museum hung a drawing with a stare too deep A man on a sofa – with eyes that never sleep Then I saw the pattern: each line was a law As if the world was ruled by the sketches I saw Chorus Storm P., Storm P., what lies behind your smile? Was your ink a code, your laughter all the while? Were you the lodge’s painter with truths we’re not to see? Was your satire the key – to some strange reality? Bridge A pipe in his mouth, a glimmer in his gaze But maybe that charm was just a clever maze A Freemason jester with cloak and delight Who drew up our prison in broad daylight Final Chorus Storm P., Storm P., you jester of men But maybe your drawings were truth with a pen And we laughed as we watched – but missed the sign For humor can hide the most secret design
