The Three Who Would Not Fall
PART 6 — THE THREE WHO WOULD NOT FALL [INTRO — ACHILLES, QUIET / REFLECTIVE] The Hydra is dead... But victory has a price. The valley still burns beneath the moon, And blood still stains the ground. Hercules stands among the ashes, His mighty fists finally still. Xena watches the darkness, Her sword held at her side. And I... I touch the wound beneath my armor. Still breathing. Still standing. Still mortal. But something has changed. Tonight, I no longer fear the thing I cannot escape. I fear only becoming a man Who refuses to face it. [VERSE 1 — HERCULES] We have defeated monsters That kings would never name. I've broken chains of iron, I've walked through rivers of flame. But strength is not enough When darkness learns to think. There are enemies you cannot crush With fists or sharpened steel. I have fought against the gods, I've challenged fate itself. But tonight I feel a warning Calling from beyond the hills. [XENA] Then we don't wait for it. We find it. We face it. Whatever waits beyond those mountains Will learn what happens When warriors stand together. I have lost people. I have lost kingdoms. I have carried ghosts That never leave my side. But I will not surrender To another night of fear. [ACHILLES] Then lead us. Not because you're a queen. Not because you're feared. Lead us because you've walked through darkness And still came back standing. [XENA] And you? You still believe you can stand beside gods? [ACHILLES] No. I believe I can stand beside men... And fight beside gods... Without becoming either. [PRE-CHORUS — ALL] The fire is fading, But the war is not done. Three paths behind us, One road before us. No prophecy can save us. No destiny can hide us. Tonight we choose our fate With every step we take. [CHORUS — ALL THREE] We are the three who would not fall, Three against the dark. One carries thunder, One carries steel, One carries a mortal heart. We have no promise of tomorrow, No guarantee we'll survive. But while one of us is standing, The other two stay alive. Three warriors! Three souls! Three legends forged in fire! If destiny demands our blood— Then destiny will face our fire! [VERSE 2 — THE DARKNESS ARRIVES] [Deep drums. Distant horn. The ground begins to tremble.] [ACHILLES] Then I heard it... Not a roar. Not a scream. A voice. Ancient. Cold. Coming from beneath the earth. “Achilles...” I froze. It knew my name. [HERCULES] Something moved beneath us. The mountains cracked. Stone began to rise. And from the darkness came a figure Older than kings... Older than war. [XENA] Don't move. [ACHILLES] Why? [XENA] Because whatever that is... It wants us afraid. [HERCULES] Then let it see us standing. [VILLAIN / MYSTERIOUS VOICE] You have killed the Hydra. You believe yourselves victorious. Fools. The Hydra was only the beginning. [ACHILLES] Who are you? [VOICE] I am the shadow behind your legends. The fear beneath your glory. The truth your stories refuse to tell. [HERCULES] Then come out of the darkness. [VOICE] Gladly... [BRIDGE — MASSIVE BUILD] [Heartbeat] [Silence] [One drum hit] [VOICE] Hercules... You were born with the strength of heaven. But heaven can take it away. [HERCULES] Then I will fight without it. [VOICE] Xena... You built yourself from pain. But what happens When there is nothing left to protect? [XENA] Then I protect myself. [VOICE] Achilles... You know the truth. You will die. Your name will become a story. Your body will become dust. And every victory you ever earned Will eventually disappear. [ACHILLES — QUIET] Maybe. But not tonight. [VOICE] You cannot defeat death. [ACHILLES] I don't have to. I only have to make it remember my name. [FINAL CHORUS — HUGE / EPIC] WE ARE THE THREE WHO WOULD NOT FALL! THREE AGAINST THE END! HERCULES WITH THUNDER! XENA WITH HER BLADE! ACHILLES WITH A MORTAL HEART THAT REFUSES TO BREAK! We were never promised forever! We were never promised peace! We were never promised victory! BUT WE WERE BORN TO FIGHT! Three warriors! Three legends! Three flames against the night! If the gods demand our surrender— WE WILL ANSWER WITH A FIGHT! [OUTRO — ACHILLES] The darkness disappeared... But its voice remained. Hercules looked toward the mountains. Xena tightened her grip upon her sword. And I looked at the wound on my chest. For the first time... I smiled. Not because I believed I was immortal. But because I finally understood. A legend isn't a man who cannot die. A legend... is a man who knows he will— and walks forward anyway. [FINAL WHISPER] The Hydra was only the beginning...
