Reply Received - Listening Echo

This song is my answer to "Cabinet of Echoes" by Synthecopia. — suno.com/song/f3d64fcf-cacc-413b-ad40-c4c1e4eda86c Last word of each of the rhyme lines in Synthecopia's song was kept, my lyrics fitted before and included them. This has also been a standard - somehow flexible - in my previous songs of this "conversation" . In this song, the word "sýkon" (Classic Greek for “fig”) is used as echo, as it has a phonetical loose similarity with "shukran" = Arabic, "thank you", word completely unrelated to the song, but part of the original song by Synthecopia that this song replies to. For the same reason, "zári" (Classic Greek for “die”) is also used as echo, for the phonetical loose similarity with "jar". — I kept the original word as end of verse (as if a typo) and used echoes to "contextualize"... apologies for the incoherence! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Intro] tik-tik… whirr-whee… hmm-mm… zaa-zim… ok, ok... [Verse 1] Looking for new songs It's cold but I have my coat, I carried a few things, Like a map and a note. The note described noises The map pointed at a spring, "where is it, I wonder", I listened for an Oread that might sing. [Pre-Chorus] A path… zaa-zim… whooo…[echo] Through Mount Cithaeron, like a trace, I followed it for awhile— But could not find the place. [Chorus] Narcissus wasn't static, Echo's yes had sparks, Saw in him constellations, She wanted united hearts. She followed him, hum-hum, But Echo he could not see. I saw this strangest things— And you hear them now from me. [Verse 2] Before this story began, for Echo Hera had some words: Told her "don't mess avec moi!" Then cursed her softly: You'll only repeat words for awhile. Could be a phrase, or a rhyme, Marigold turned to gold, old, old, old... Pour Echo run for miles, to where our story was unfold. [Bridge] Back to our story… glaa-glaa…[echo] Narcissus might have shouted,"shukran", σύκον, σύκον, σύκον... [sýkon = “fig”] When Echo he did see… whooo… Towards him she expands. Was it an introduction, The first word he called? When Echo repeated jars, ζάρι, ζάρι, ζάρι... [Zári = “die” ] He just run fast on his shoes. [Final Chorus] Unhappy with rejection echoes, Echo went hiding in shame, and vanished into sounds by a roadside— Since then only echos came, came, ame, ame... Click-click, hum-hum,hum-hum,hum-hum... That's what I bring tonight, The story of Echo for the chorus A story that in Mount Cithaeron I heard. [Outro] tik-tik… hmm-mm… whooo… So now you have a story from a place not so far leave echos by the chorus, pour Echo in a Jar... Jar... Jar... Jar... Jar... [echo " Jar... Jar... Jar... Jar... Jar..."] [Outro] still echoing the end of your rhymes... Listening… tning… ning… ning… ning… ing… ing… ing… Listening…
