Walk the Way

Verse 1 If this is how my King has loved me Then what is He making in me now If I am called to bear His image Then teach my soul to learn the bow Not to fear the cross before me Not to cling to lesser things But to find the hidden riches In the shadow of my King Pre-Chorus Where pride gives way to tenderness Where striving comes undone Where blood and tears become the seed Of what Your Spirit grows Chorus If I walk the way of Jesus If I follow where You lead Plant Your kingdom down within me Grow Your life from every seed Make me gentle Make me faithful Make me peaceful through the fire If I walk the way of Jesus Set my heart on Your desire Verse 2 You do not only want my worship Or the good that I can show You want every hidden chamber Every place I will not go Every ragged, broken fragment Every secret stained with shame You are not afraid to enter You are calling me by name Pre-Chorus And as I yield the lesser crown And lay my life aside You meet my weakness with Your strength And teach my heart to die Chorus If I walk the way of Jesus If I follow where You lead Plant Your kingdom down within me Grow Your life from every seed Make me patient Make me steadfast Make me kind in all I do If I walk the way of Jesus Let me become more like You Bridge I cannot earn it I cannot buy it I only bring my empty hands But You can heal And You can fill And You can make me stand Outro So I lift my hands to heaven Though I do not know the cost Only knowing You are worthy And no life laid down is lost If I walk the way of Jesus I will never walk alone
