You spend enough time runnin from yourself… Eventually your shadow start knowin your name. WE ARE THE ATTORNEYS GENERAL! I spent half my twenties talkin loud in crowded rooms, Tryna decorate the silence with opinions and perfume, Everybody sellin certainty in laminated forms, Meanwhile my inner weather couldn’t settle on a storm. I knew dudes who changed personalities by season, Started quoting dead philosophers for recreational reasons, Girl told me “everybody lost” with a cigarette grin, That might be the truest thing I ever heard somebody admit. See I thought growth looked cinematic — thunder, violins, Turns out sometimes it’s finally sittin quietly with your sins, Not romantic — just honest, kitchen light at 2 AM, Wonderin if your own reflection even trust you as a friend. And the older folks were right about one uncomfortable fact: You can build a whole identity from things you merely lack. That’s why some people chase applause like oxygen supply, Till the room go dark and suddenly they terrified inside. 🎵 Tryna find myself somewhere between the tide and traffic… Everybody actin certain — I just learned to quit the actin… 🎵 Maybe peace ain’t loud… maybe truth don’t need reactions… Maybe bein human more than optimization tactics… 🎵 I was lookin for a lighthouse — found a mirror cracked in half instead… Still somehow the broken pieces led me back again… BACK AGAIN! I met a bartender philosopher in Kalamazoo, Said “most folks never meet themselves till everything they built fall through.” He laughed and wiped a whiskey glass in slow deliberate turns, Like he already knew exactly how destruction burn. See I done watched people reinvent themselves online, Whole personality assembled from a playlist and some lighting design, But the soul know… the bones know… you can feel it in your chest, When your laugh start sounding rented and your joy don’t fully stretch. I used to think authenticity meant never changing form, Now I think it’s havin courage when the old you get outgrown. That’s the terrifying beauty — every version gotta die, Not dramatic movie endings — just the slow collapse of lies. And I ain’t “healed.” I ain’t “fixed.” That language feel bizarre to me, Human beings not machines returnin to a factory. Sometimes progress look pathetic from the outside lookin in, But internally? You finally quit negotiating with the wind. Maybe finding yourself… ain’t about discovery. Maybe it’s subtraction 🎵 Tryna find myself somewhere beyond the noise and panic… Every wrong turn somehow built another piece I stand with… 🎵 Maybe peace ain’t loud… maybe love ain’t automatic… Maybe all this damage only teach us how to manage… 🎵 I was searchin every coastline — every late-night drunken argument… Only thing that ever worked was finally bein honest then… HONEST THEN! 🎵 Find yourself… find yourself… before the whole damn world define yourself… 🎵 Find yourself… find yourself… before your fear decide your health… THE ATTORNEYS GENERAL… Yeah…
