How Can Summer End?

Pip pip and cheerio I' m Lil Liam, I'm here to say. Oh, Heck NO !!!! I was outside, chillin' like a villain, in the yard all day. Sun on my face, yeah Lil Liam, don't play Bare feet on the grass, till the ice cream man come. Ice cream drippin down my arms, because of the hot sun. Now the weeks are closing in Like a door in my face. Got my backpack in the hallway Yo, I ain't in no race. Too many rules, Too many bells, Too many books Too many Teachers, With their dirty looks. I can see it now That first day of school. Summer's slipping away Can't lounge in the pool. How can summer end? It felt too short Not ready for school Don't wanna play no sports Too much homework. Too many rules Annoying teachers Make me wanna drool. I'm the L, to the I, to the A, to the M. Yup, Lil Liam Poppycock is axin'... How can summer end? (How can summer end?) Nah, not again Mum says "early night" But I want one more run. Skateboard by the curb Until the sun is done. I've still got sand on my shoes From the park by the road. It's gonna be e-mails and projects And a heavy school load. I can feel my body ache, in the final week Hot days fading fast, and my heart goes...... bleak. Last week of freedom Yo, it's stuck in me head. Last bit of summer. Before I'm eat a sandwich... on stale bread. (school lunch sucks) How can summer end? (How can summer end?)
