[Intro] Your brain said no Your knees said yes Now look who's making a mess [Verse 1] You were leaning on the wall looking cool as ice Then the bass rolled in and it changed your life Didn't see it coming, didn't make a plan Now you're doing little circles with a drink in your hand You tried to stop but your heel tapped twice Your shoulders got caught and they took that advice You can fool your friends, you can fool your boss But your feet tell the truth when the groove comes across [Pre Chorus] Don't think about it Don't work it out That little rhythm knows what you're about [Chorus] Your feet know first, first, first Before your head gets to work Your feet know first, first, first When the groove gets under your shirt One little tap, then a whole body burst You can't fake cool when your feet know first Hey now, hey now, give it a chance Your feet know first when they hear that dance [Post Chorus] Tap tap Turn around Heel toe Touch the ground Tap tap There it goes Your feet know something that your head don't know [Verse 2] Doctor said rest, but the record said move Now I'm doing physical therapy to a funk bass groove Mama shook her head, said boy behave Then she hit one step like a runaway train Even the dog got a bounce in his walk Even the mailman stopped to hear that talk There's a little bit of magic in a rhythm done right Makes a Monday morning feel like Saturday night [Pre Chorus] Don't think about it Don't work it out That little rhythm knows what you're about [Chorus] Your feet know first, first, first Before your head gets to work Your feet know first, first, first When the groove gets under your shirt One little tap, then a whole body burst You can't fake cool when your feet know first Hey now, hey now, give it a chance Your feet know first when they hear that dance [Bridge] No drums No bass Just a voice in the place Hum that tune Feel that spark Watch your feet start dancing in the dark [Final Chorus] Your feet know first, first, first Before your head gets to work Your feet know first, first, first When the groove gets under your shirt One little tap, then a whole body burst You can't fake cool when your feet know first Hey now, hey now, everybody advance Your feet know first when they hear that dance [Outro] Your brain said no Your knees said yes Now who's the coolest in the room? Take a guess
