The final bell, we start to run From here on, it’s adventure time When we burst out of the classroom door We become comrades side by side In my right hand, my favorite stick In my left, a pot lid shield Tie a can onto your heel Come on, the adventure begins The time we run straight through The time we became heroes Gives us courage Right here, right now This is our secret base Cardboard walls patched together Dry leaves turned into cushions Tree stumps made into tables Colored glass is treasure Bugs are monsters to defeat The noisy old guy’s an enemy This is our story, we’re the leads The time we run straight through Countless moments, countless trials All of it becomes The strength inside us now The evening bell rings out Adventure time is over We hide our favorite weapons And turn back into just friends Every day was an adventure Everything felt brand new Sometimes we got scared and ran away And did it all again the next day The time we ran straight through The time we were heroes Gives us confidence Even now All grown up, here we are Walking that back hill again So many things have changed since then But that day’s scenery Has never faded away The time that ran so fast The time we were heroes Still gives us courage today And you know Some things never change Wanna know what I mean? Look—see that? We still pick up a good stick The time that ran so fast The time we were heroes Still turns us into legends now So what does it all mean? It means just this! Come on— The adventure begins! With those running days With those heroic times in our hearts Even now, we become heroes So what does it all mean? Yeah— That’s exactly what it means Come on! The adventure begins!
