"i build each one of my songs out of glass so you could see me inside them i suppose or you could just leave the image of me in the background i guess and watch your own reflection superimposed ..." † ~ imagining (for aa) i hope you'll join us, we can live as one : that was the task, the challenge and the dream it didn't look as hard as it may seem to a poet's eye : in the tale he spun with peace and love, the story had begun and then relayed a simple sort of scheme in deed : 'twas the surest way to redeem the vision of a world for everyone it did not come to pass as he would hope but in that hour the story did not die it still lives in our hearts, within our scope and though we may yet stop to wonder why we come together, have power to cope and still imagine lucy in the sky ~ look at us here : community of song community of hearts in common time in every note, in every beat and rhyme the hope still pulses, moves the dream along if each can find a place where they belong on wings of music let each spirit climb if all can still believe in love sublime the dream still lives, forever growing strong find strength in what had seemed the weakest cracks those seams were only weaknesses until each life shall gain from others what it lacks the promise : it always has, it always will and, if a poet may poetic wax we'll find it there and can believe it still rjh 22apr2026 ~ † ani difranco, "overlap" (out of range, 1994) illustration : pablo picasso, dove of peace (1949) inspired by Artsy Aimee, "Still Imagining, But It Ain’t Easy" https://suno.com/song/2ebab681-d63e-4465-8a2f-118ea4352b26 style inspired by Artsy Aimee, "Cracks in Your Heart" https://suno.com/song/967e07f7-6970-4a6a-87ae-6f19b912152a
