Too much happened in one night We went back to Lassie’s place “Enough for tonight. Let’s sleep” Morning came too soon A letter waited on the table And Lassie was gone I woke Crimsyn and Gala at dawn “Lassie went to Coastridge alone” Crimsyn looked at Gala and said “You’re a magician. Can’t you fly after her with that?” Gala blinked, “On a broom? Seriously?” Gala shot back, “Crank your analysis mode to max” “Hack the agency. Find where they’ll hold Lassie” Crimsyn sighed, “If I could, I’d have done it already” I said, “Both of you, calm down now” “Lassie made this choice for a reason” “For us, and someone she loves in Bristol” “She’s our leader. This was her call” “If we rush in, she’ll ask why we came” All four Queens were finally together One chair was already empty by morning She chose the harder road to shield us all それでも私たちはまだ四人 The Leader’s Move! Hold the line, hold the line! Trust the move that our leader made Hold the line, hold the line! It’s not over yet! Lassie walked alone into Coastridge’s division headquarters Coastridge himself stood waiting inside “So you’re Coastridge,” Lassie said quietly “Wait... I know that face. I’ve seen you before” He smiled, “Of course you have, Lassie” “Our crews fought over turf many times back then” “I led an outlaw crew, just like you did” Lassie nodded, “Yeah. Now I remember who you are” Lassie said, “I know why you took that deal” “You took their badge so your crew walked free” “I came here for the same reason” “For my three, and someone back in Bristol” “I won’t let any of them become collateral damage” Coastridge said, “I hate this agency” “I took their badge to free my crew” “One day I’ll make them regret this deal” それでも彼はまだ自由じゃない The Leader’s Move! Hold the line, hold the line! “My orders are to bring the Queens in” Hold the line, hold the line! “You’re not leaving yet!” Coastridge grinned, “I wanna have some more fun with you girls. Yeehaw!!” Lassie asked, “Should I take that as your inside voice leaking again?” Coastridge said, “I’ll leave that up to you.” Then his tone turned serious. “My division is only one part of this agency. There are others. One of them is already coming for Jennifer, Crimsyn and Gala. My orders haven’t changed. I still have to bring in the Cowgirl Queens. If I bring them in, I decide what happens next. If that other division gets the other three first, I lose that control. So if anyone catches the Queens, it’s me.” Lassie asked, “So you’ll keep that division from taking them? And I stay here while you do it?” Coastridge answered, “I’m not asking you to trust me. I’m telling you what I can guarantee. Stay here quietly. I’ll keep the other three out of that division’s hands. And I won’t do them wrong.” Lassie said, “Fine. Keep your word.” She chose the door and stepped inside This was no defeat, nobody forced her hand Three Queens still move beyond those walls それでも私たちはまだ四人 The Leader’s Move! Hold the line, hold the line! We won’t leave our leader behind Hold the line, hold the line! The next move starts now! Back at Lassie’s house, Crimsyn said, “I can’t leave her there. We’re four.” I said, “Yeah. There has to be something we can do.” Gala stopped us. “Wait. There’s something I didn’t get to tell you yesterday at the bar. Coastridge’s division is only one of several. Another division is already after us, and someone from that division is already close.” Crimsyn asked, “Who is it?” “I don’t know yet,” Gala said. I said, “Then we move toward the agency. Quietly.” Gala nodded. “Good. From what I found, whoever’s coming next might really mess with our heartbeat.” Crimsyn frowned. “Heartbeat?”
