Bargain - A Crow's Heart
Upon the moor, the warrior swayed, His heart in crows' dark hold, For daughter's life, the price he paid, A bond of shadows cold. With feathers black, they took his heart, To skies so far and wide, And in their flight, a mournful art, His spirit cast aside. By moonlit glens, his echo'd wail, A tale of love and pain, For honor’s quest and daughter's vale, In shadow he’d remain. She wanders hills, with tear-streaked face, In search of father’s light, By ancient oaks, an endless chase, Through sorrow’s hallowed night. [Whispered, with sparse instrumentation] With locket clasped, and memories frail, She whispers to the breeze, Her voice in whispers calls his name, Across the twilight’s veil. For in this life, her heart's aflame, In quests without a trail, From shadows deep, a crow’s reply, With eyes of midnight gleam. By moonlit glens, his echo’d wail, A tale of love and pain, For honor’s quest and daughter’s vale, In shadow he’d remain. He speaks in caws, a father’s cry, ‘Let go, and find your dream. Though darkened skies and winds are high, The dawn will cast its beam.’ Through misty glens, he guides her soul, To realms where hopes align, A bond of shadows turns to gold, A love that transcends time.
