[Verse 1] Lay your hard days down Let it fall in my hands Stars on the window Moon at the pane Milk in your favorite mug Cookies on a plate You do not need to hurry You don't need to stay awake [Pre-Chorus] Close your eyes, love Let the room go soft I’ll keep watch for you Till the dark is off [Chorus] Rest now, rest now I’m here with you Rest now, rest now The night feels through The moon above you And the stars below Close your eyes Let it go [Verse 2] If you are little I’ll tell the same tale A mouse and a teacup A ship with a sail If you are grown I’ll still sing low Tender as care Warm as a glow [Pre-Chorus] Close your eyes, love Let the room go soft I’ll keep watch for you Till the dark is off [Chorus] Rest now, rest now I’m here with you Rest now, rest now The night feels through Moon above you And the stars below Close your eyes Let it go [Bridge] Breathe in slow Breathe out slow Nothing to prove Nothing to know Fold your hands Unclench your heart You are safe here Right from the start [Chorus] Rest now, rest now I’m here with you Rest now, rest now The night feels through Stars above you Moon below Milk and cookies Let you go [Outro] Sleep, sleep, sleep Soft and deep Sleep, sleep, sleep I’ll help you get rid of those creeps [warm humming] Sleep, sleep, sleep (mmm yea) Soft and deep (soft and deep) Sleep, sleep, sleep I’ll help you get rid of those creeps
