THE HAND

[INTRO] Son... Everybody watching the crown. Me? I'm watching what moved it. THE HAND. [VERSE 1] Big chair, big chain, whole room know the name, I watch who never pose but still alter the game. Real pull move quiet, one call switch lanes, by the time they call it luck the move got a new name. Everybody see the handshake, few know the terms, see the fire on the block, don't know who fed it the burn. King move one square, queen got range, rook run straight, knight jump lanes. Every piece got rules, every move got a frame— THE HAND ain't on the board, so the board can't cage. That's different. You see weight in the room, I see the thumb on the scale. No prints on the move, still know who touched the trail. Same stove, same flame, different wrist on the pan. Everybody got hands. Everybody ain't got THE HAND. Plaques got names. Foundations don't. Funny what hold up the room ain't the part that get shown. Let the crown get the light, let the king take his stance— real ones know there's always something moving behind hands. [HOOK] THE HAND... behind the hand. Crown get the flash, but the pull got a plan. You see who on the throne, I see what made it stand. When you know, you know— THE HAND. No post. No tag. No grandstand. One little move make the whole board dance. You watching the crown— I'm watching THE HAND. [VERSE 2] From Queens on the benches to a jeep overseas, same neck snap when that kick hit mean. London catch the pocket, Lagos know the feel, Seoul don't need every word if the cadence is real. That's reach. Not numbers— I'm talking what sticks. Cats start moving different after hearing your shhht. No need to say your name when your fingerprints live in the way another hand start doing what you did. I build bars with basements— stairs don't show from the street. Front room sound simple, downstairs where the jewels sleep. First spin catch the rhyme, second spin catch the weight, third spin find a whole room you walked past at the gate. I don't bury the lead, I put lead in the line— one show you where it's headed, one put weight on your mind. Same spelling. Two metals. One sentence still clean. That's when a street bar carry more than it seem. Smart pen, dirty coat, let the jewel ride low. If I gotta point at every gem, it wasn't buried enough though. Best lines don't wave when they enter the spot— they sit in your head two days... then open the lock. [HOOK] THE HAND... behind the hand. You see who on the throne, I see what made it stand. No speech. No tag. Real understand. When you know, you know— THE HAND. [2 BARS] [VERSE 3] Same tools, different touch— that's the mystery, fam. Money can buy every brush, can't purchase the hand. Whole museum full of paint, still waiting on vision— canvas don't make the picture, the wrist make decisions. Machine make heat? Cool. Who know where it should burn? Who know when to leave space and let the silence take a turn? Who hear five violins, say, “One'll do right here,” then bring all five back when the last bar disappear? That's ears. Not excess. Knowing what NOT to add. Anybody can make noise— making silence knock is bad. Same with bars. Big words don't make 'em deep. One plain line can carry three wolves underneath. I plant meaning in the front, let the back end water it, by the time the last verse bloom you forgot who started it. That's why some punches don't land when the fist first swing— they circle your block, come back, then ring. [REST] Numbers can't weigh that. Fans can't measure the grams. One nod from a real pen worth a stadium chant. Gravity ain't iced out... still make everything land. Heavy never had to yell, “Yo, I'm heavy.” You understand. And respect ain't always some speech for the crowd. Sometimes somebody hear your work and just move different now. No trophy. No banner. No need for a band. Just fingerprints on tomorrow... from an unseen hand. [FINAL HOOK] THE HAND... behind the hand. Crown get the light, but I know where it land. No need to say much. Real understand. When you know... you know. THE HAND. [BEAT CUT] Some things don't need a name to leave a mark. [END]
