V6

[Soft distant waves, underwater warmth, slow gong] [Spoken, soft, unhurried] Let the eyes close. Let the head grow heavy. The water holds you here. Nobody is in a hurry. You have all the time you need. [Pause] This one is for the sinuses — the pressure and the stuffiness — and what you've held back behind them. We'll meet one doorway, gently: the first time it came, the worst time, the last time, or the worry about the next time. Let whichever wants to come forward, come. No digging. No forcing. [Spoken, plain — not sung] This sits beside whatever care your doctor gives, never instead of it — keep using what they've prescribed. [Instrumental — long, spacious] Now the breath. In through the nose — or the mouth, if the nose is blocked. And out through the mouth, slow, like fog lifting off the water. [Spoken, slow, unhurried — roughly one count per second, no melody, no rap cadence] In... one... two... three... four... Hold... one... two... three... four... [Spoken, slower here — exhale is unhurried, roughly double the pace of the inhale] Out... one......two......three......four......five......six......seven......eight... Hold... one... two... three... four... [Spoken, slow, unhurried — roughly one count per second, no melody, no rap cadence] In... one... two... three... four... Hold... one... two... three... four... [Spoken, slower here — exhale is unhurried, roughly double the pace of the inhale] Out through the mouth... one......two......three......four......five......six......seven......eight... Hold... one... two... three... four... The mouth lets the old pressure go. [Spoken, slow, unhurried — roughly one count per second, no melody, no rap cadence] In... one... two... three... four... Hold... one... two... three... four... [Spoken, slower here — exhale is unhurried, roughly double the pace of the inhale] Out... one......two......three......four......five......six......seven......eight... Hold... one... two... three... four... [Instrumental — long, spacious] Let that moment come close — only as close as feels okay. Where are you? Who is near? [Pause] Notice where it lives in the body. Pressure behind the eyes. A heavy face. A tight throat. Name it if a word comes. Stuck. Unheard. Tired. [Pause] Maybe someone was always in a hurry with you. Instructions, orders, and sharp words all sounded the same, so you never quite knew what was wanted, and you learned to be afraid of getting it wrong. [Pause] If a younger you is there, sit down beside them. You may tell them, silently: There's no rush here. You can't get this wrong. I'm listening. Take all the time you need. [Pause] Maybe you learned to stand to the side while everyone else got what they needed. To serve, and watch, and swallow what you felt, so nobody would leave. [Pause] You may notice where you still push love away, or turn down help, because once, love came with a sting. That kept you safe. And you're allowed to let some sweetness in now. [Pause] And if there's grief — something you still yearn for — let it come up like a wave and go out like one. The water holds all of it. [Instrumental — long, spacious] Now the tide rises. At the base of you, red as clay, warm as cinnamon. You belong here. You don't have to earn your place. The current rinses through, and the silt lifts. [Pause] Below the navel, warm orange water. Let it move. Up into the belly, gold as grain. All that hard work — let it count. You are allowed to receive. [Pause] The center of the chest, green as a garden after rain. The armor loosens. Love can come close and stay safe. [Soft toning: Ayy] [Pause] The throat, cool blue, like eucalyptus on the breath. Every word you swallowed floats up and out. Your voice belongs here. [Soft toning: Eee] [Pause] Between the brows — indigo, calm as lavender. The pressure behind the face drains away. [Soft toning: Mmm] Out the top of the head — violet, then gold light. The tide carries the last silt out to sea. [Instrumental — long, spacious] Now the Old Crap Clearing. Imagine a magnet, slow and warm, starting under the chin. Draw it up over the face and crown, and down the back of the neck, pulling the old charge up and out. [Pause] Again. Chin... cheeks... crown... neck. [Pause] Third pass. Slower, across the sinuses. Last pass. All the way through, and out. [Pause] And one more gentle way this old energy is let go — everywhere it began, everywhere it was stored: Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, Point of Creation and Point of Destruction, All Nines, Shorts, Boys and Beyonds. [Music softens, waves returning] The water is clear now. Yours. [Pause] When you rise, drink a glass of water, and move a little — a walk, a stretch, a wiggle. Keep the river moving. I am worthy of love. My voice belongs. I have all the time I need. With infinite love and gratitude — and so it is. [Waves fading]
