[Verse 1] Had a shifty kind of day Won’t sit right in my bones Clock kept bending sideways Like I lost my way back home Mud on my shoes, bad luck too Paper cut and a crooked grin I been dodging every corner Tryin’ to get my head back in [Pre-Chorus] I just want the door slam shut Kick my boots by the wall Call the boys, crack that case Let the good tunes crawl [Chorus] I just need a shot of blues Need a shot of blues Get me home with the boys Need a shot of blues Where’s that other harp man? Where’s that other harp man? I just need a shot of blues Need a shot of blues [Verse 2] Radio coughs on the dashboard Every note feels half awake I’m one more mile from crazy And one more grin from a break Got a pocket full of rattles And a head full of rain If that harp man shows up late I might have to play his lane [Pre-Chorus] I just want the porch light on And the trouble out my door Give me strings and a backbeat And let me ask for more [Chorus] I just need a shot of blues Need a shot of blues Get me home with the boys Need a shot of blues Where’s that other harp man? Where’s that other harp man? I just need a shot of blues Need a shot of blues [Bridge] One good song, then another Let the hard part fade If he’s lost, tell him hurry This train’s already made I been holding on all day With a thumb on my nerves Now I need that sound to meet me Right where the hurt curves [Final Chorus] I just need a shot of blues Need a shot of blues Get me home with the boys Need a shot of blues Where’s that other harp man? Where’s that other harp man? I just need a shot of blues Need a shot of blues
