[Verse] Shadows crawl like they’ve got a plan Streetlights flicker where the night began Whispers hum beneath the moon’s cold glow Do they know? Do they know? [Prechorus] Footsteps fall like a heartbeat Tight Breath caught in the throat A bite of fright [Chorus] It’s the bumps in the nite The creak of the floor The knock on the wall The slam of a door You run but you’re stuck You scream but it’s light Oh it’s the bumps in the nite The bumps in the nite [Verse 2] Windows rattle with a ghostly sway Curtains dancing in a strange ballet Every shadow wears a crooked grin Where do I end Where do they begin? [Prechorus] Eyes wide open but there’s no clear sight Feel the pull of the dark It’s a wicked fight [Chorus] It’s the bumps in the nite The sound of a chain The tap on the glass The whisper of rain You hide but it finds You cry but it’s slight Oh it’s the bumps in the nite The bumps in the nite
