THE STORY CONTINUES Prologue – An Introduction to the Nemenhah Sacred Records [Spoken Narration – Do Not Sing] Come closer, my friend. Before we begin this journey together... I'd like to tell you about a remarkable collection of sacred writings that many Latter-day Saints have never heard about. Most of us know the Book of Mormon. We know Lehi... Nephi... Alma the Younger... Samuel the Lamanite... Corianton... Mormon... and Moronigh. We know about Hagoth, the great shipbuilder who sailed north. Then... the Book of Mormon grows quiet. But among the Nemenhah people... another story continues. They remember Hagoth by the name Hagohotl. They remember Moronigh, whom they call Mohrhohnahyah, living among them after the destruction of the Nephite nation. They tell of faithful families who chose peace over contention... service over power... and stewardship over ownership. They preserve traditions about Corianton and Isabel... showing how repentance, forgiveness, and new beginnings changed generations. They remember Samuel the Lamanite, whose voice continued to strengthen scattered believers long after his famous sermon upon the wall. They preserve accounts of the risen Savior visiting their people... bringing healing... teaching... blessing little children... and showing them how Zion begins inside the human heart. These records speak often of sacred temples. Their ordinances may sound familiar... washing... anointing... instruction... covenants... and an endowment of power. But their greatest purpose was to help ordinary men and women learn to walk with the Creator every day of their lives. The records speak of councils instead of kings. Of mothers whose wisdom blessed the people. Of healers who freely served. Of villages where stewardship replaced ownership. And of families striving to become one heart. Their story reaches into later generations. It even speaks of Chief Joseph, the great Nez Perce leader, reminding us that the Creator never forgot His covenant people. Across North America... through rivers... mountains... and valleys... echoes of these ancient stories still remain. Whether these records become part of your own journey is something only you can decide. My invitation is simple. Listen with an open heart. Study carefully. Pray sincerely. And see where the Peacemaker leads you. So... pull another chair up to the fire. Bring your questions. Bring your love for the Book of Mormon. And let's begin the journey together. [Music Begins – Sing Only From Here] Verse The record closed... But hope lived on. The scattered branches Still walked with God. Across the rivers... Across the plains... The ancient promise Still remained. Chorus The story continues... The light still shines. Hagoth... Hagohotl... Across all time. Moronigh still bears witness Of Jesus Christ, God's Son. The story continues... Our journey has begun. Bridge The Savior came among them. He healed the weak again. He blessed their little children. He called them all His friends. From sacred temples Into daily life... They learned to walk The Peacemaker's path. Final Chorus The story continues... The sacred fire still burns. From generation Unto generation, The ancient promise returns. Come hear the stories. Come seek the Light. Come walk beside The Peacemaker. The story continues... And now... We begin. (Soft cedar flute and strings slowly fade into silence.)
