[Verse 1] If the boogie man comes tonight Be where it’s a Fright Night Gypsy witch talks to the moon Says he’s coming back real soon Not just a man in the dark Something else with a hungry spark He might be nice, he might be horror Either way, he’s at your door [Pre-Chorus] On the next full moon He’ll be on the move [Chorus] One, two, he will come for you Three, four, lock your door Five, six, sharpen your sticks Seven, eight, stay up late Nine, ten, boogie man again [Verse 2] Salt on the sill, ash in the bowl Old red thread tied round your soul If the windows rattle hard Don’t you step out in the yard Hear that knock? Don’t answer that Shadow grinning from the black Gypsy witch says, “Hold your breath” One wrong step can dance with death [Pre-Chorus] On the next full moon He’ll be on the move [Chorus] One, two, he will come for you Three, four, lock your door Five, six, sharpen your sticks Seven, eight, stay up late Nine, ten, boogie man again [Bridge] Circle the moon Circle it twice Leave a little milk And a pinch of ice If he calls your name Don’t you sing along Say the old spell back And keep strong [Final Chorus] One, two, he will come for you Three, four, lock your door Five, six, sharpen your sticks Seven, eight, stay up late Nine, ten, boogie man again
