[Verse 1] You spilled cocoa on my sleeve Airport crowd Christmas Eve You laughed Said "Guess you’re stuck with me" Gate lights blinking Half asleep [Pre-Chorus] We talked about tiny towns Missed flights Messed up plans Somehow in that empty lounge You just took my hand (oh) [Chorus] Holiday romance Snow in our suitcase Kissing in a line at the boarding gate Two-day fling on a borrowed fireplace Names in the fog on the windowpane Holiday romance Maybe it won’t last Still I keep replaying how the time flew past If it’s only now I still want this dance Holiday Holiday romance [Verse 2] Shared one scarf on the cold bus ride Hotel lobby Plastic pine You stole candy from the check-in desk Said "Rules bend when the year resets" [Pre-Chorus] We danced in the elevator Counting floors like shooting stars You said "Tell me a secret" I said "I like you just like you are" (yeah) [Chorus] Holiday romance Snow in our suitcase Kissing in a line at the boarding gate Two-day fling on a borrowed fireplace Names in the fog on the windowpane Holiday romance Maybe it won’t last Still I keep replaying how the time flew past If it’s only now I still want this dance Holiday Holiday romance [Bridge] Will we write when the tinsel’s gone? Will your number still ring in June? I don’t know But in every song I hear this hotel room [Chorus] Holiday romance Snow in our suitcase Laughing in the dark as the log fire fades Two-day fling But my heart says "wait" Your face at the gate as they call my name Holiday romance Maybe it won’t last But I’m saving this feeling like a photograph If it’s only now I still want this dance Holiday Holiday romance (oh) Holiday Holiday romance
