[Verse 1] Found a dime in my coat At the laundromat glow Washed my luck with my socks Let it spin, let it go You were waiting by the door With a paper cup grin Said, “What day is this?” I said, “Try one again” [Pre-Chorus] Then the old machine shook Made a rattling sound Spit a cherry red glow Like a star fell down [Chorus] Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck It hits me when I’m stuck Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck One sweet little shock Cherry soda luck [Verse 2] We walked home with our bags And the sky looked bruised You kicked a loose little stone Like you knew what to do I kept that dime all week In my left front pocket Every time I got low I’d just thumb and knock it [Pre-Chorus] Then the world turned bright In a blink, in a blur And the whole dark room Started humming your name first [Chorus] Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck It hits me when I’m stuck Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck One sweet little shock Cherry soda luck [Bridge] Maybe luck is small Maybe luck is weird A bent-up coin And a laugh in your ear Maybe it’s your hand On a cracked red lid Saying, “Take one more” Like you always did [Chorus] Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck It hits me when I’m stuck Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck Cherry soda luck One sweet little shock Cherry soda luck
