[Verse 1] Anxious and weary Awaiting my fate Life's journey now over I see heaven's gate It's time now to enter With friends, I will be But the door will not open I don't have the key [Verse 2] And then I awaken As if back from the dead The dream is now over I rise from my bed Tears overtake me Then from bended knee I prayed for an answer I prayed for the key [Chorus] The Spirit said Christ is the answer He is the key Whatever the question He's the answer you'll see The gate will swing open And forever you'll be With Christ as your answer With Christ as your key [Verse 3] The church choir was singing A song just for me The preacher was praying That I'd be set free Then I started forward The Spirit moved me To make Christ my Savior To make Him my key [Chorus] And now I sing Christ is my answer He is my key Whatever the question He's the answer for me The gate will swing open And forever I'll be With Christ as my answer With Christ as my key [Outro] With Christ as my answer With Christ as my key With Christ as my answer With Christ as my key
