[Verse 1] My hope is not in my own timing My hope is in Your faithfulness When the road runs on for miles I remember what You said When the waiting feels like silence When the night outlasts my strength You are steady through the shadows You are speaking through the length [Chorus] You hold the future You have the final word Over the questions Over the pain I’ve heard When the waiting is long Still I’ll trust Your promises You hold the future You have the final word [Verse 2] I’m choosing here to grow in grace Right here in the in-between Teach my heart a quiet courage Make my weary spirit clean Deepen trust in every trial Draw me closer as I learn Give me patient Tested courage As I wait for Your return [Bridge] You are coming back I know So I will wait for You (I will wait) Root my faith in living hope Till all I see is You You are coming back I know So I will wait for You Steady heart and anchored soul Till every word comes true [Chorus] You hold the future You have the final word Over the questions Over the pain I’ve heard When the waiting is long Still I’ll trust Your promises You hold the future You have the final word
