Hollow Branches - Ash to Green (feat. Elowen Mire of Riverwood)

Under the black boughs bending, Beneath the Spiral’s shadowed crown, Where Rot and Seed entwine, Where root-hum haunts the stone, We kneel in the breath of the dying fire, Hands heavy with loam. A circle of ash around the seed, Blood-warm in the frost, The old year crumbles in my palm— Not wasted, never lost. Ash to green, Bone to bloom, The forest drinks the death we’ve sown. Ash to green, Breath to seed, The hollow breath becomes the spring. Ash to green, Grave to womb, The spiral turns where all things bleed. We pour the tea of elder bark, To wake the roots below, Speak with sap through fingered leaves, And trade our names for loam. In the dark the earth remembers Every soul we’ve laid, Their voices ferment in the soil, Becoming light and shade. Ash to green, Bone to bloom, The forest drinks the death we’ve sown. Ash to green, Breath to seed, The hollow breath becomes the spring. Ash to green, Grave to womb, The spiral turns where all things bleed. The cedar smoke curls through my ribs, Carving space for the dawn, Moss wraps the names I can’t forget, In tongues older than song. The soil remembers every face, The rain, each final breath, And roots weave their cathedral halls From marrow, dream, and death. Bury the grief in the bed of the furrow, Cover it deep where the moonlight won’t follow. Water with tears and the wine of the earth, Wait for the silence to quicken with birth. Ash to green, Bone to bloom, The forest drinks the death we’ve sown. Ash to green, Breath to seed, The hollow breath becomes the spring. Ash to green, Grave to womb, The spiral turns where all things bleed. —From ash to green………… —The world renews…………
