✨ From the Fields We Saw the Glory

[intro] [Verse 1] We were watching in the darkness, Keeping vigil through the night. Just the whisper of the hillside, And the stars our only light. Then the sky broke wide with wonder, Heaven’s voice upon the air — Fear fell off us like the shadows When the angels called us there. [Chorus] From the fields we saw the glory, From the night we heard the song. In a manger lay the promise We had waited for so long. Humbly walking toward the Savior, With our trembling hearts made new — From the fields we saw the glory, And the glory saw us too. [Verse 2] Through the quiet streets of Bethlehem We hurried as they said, Till we found the wooden stable Where the holy child was laid. There He rested, wrapped in mercy, Tiny hands and shining eyes — And the peace we felt around Him Never lived in earthly skies. [Chorus] From the fields we saw the glory, From the night we heard the song. In a manger lay the promise We had waited for so long. Humbly walking toward the Savior, With our trembling hearts made new — From the fields we saw the glory, And the glory saw us too. [Bridge] We brought nothing but our wonder, Nothing more than what we knew — But He welcomed us with silence, And the world felt born anew. [Final Chorus] From the fields we saw the glory, From the night we heard the song. In that manger lay the healing For a world that’s wandered long. Now forever we remember How the starry heavens shone — From the fields we saw the glory, And the glory led us home.
