**[Verse 1 — The Profaned Name]** They speak of God upon the mountain, They raise their banners to the sky, But underneath the holy language, I hear the innocent ones cry. The ancient promises are spoken, The prophets' words are brought to bear, But what is left of God's commandments When there's no mercy anywhere? They speak of judgment, speak of vengeance, Speak of kingdoms yet to rise, While mothers search among the rubble For the children lost before their eyes. And somewhere in the name of heaven, Men declare their cause is just, But the blood that stains the holy ground Will testify against their trust. **[Pre-Chorus]** If you are waiting for the Savior, If you are longing for the King, Then tell me why the least among you Are the ones who feel the sting. **[Chorus]** **When will the Messiah come? When will the blinded see? When will the hands that claim God's promise Learn what mercy is supposed to be? You can build a throne of iron, You can raise a wall of stone, But you cannot claim the heart of God While leaving love alone.** Oh, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, How long will the children cry? How many tears must fall beneath you Before the truth will testify? **[Verse 2 — The Warning of Revelation]** There is a warning in Revelation, A judgment sharper than a sword, Of those who claim the name of heaven Yet stand opposed to what is holy to the Lord. The words are fierce, the imagery is burning, The warning cuts both deep and wide: A sacred name can be dishonored When the truth is cast aside. But no man's blood defines his guilt, No people's birth determines blame. The Lord sees every heart and action; No nation owns His name. The prophet cried against oppression, The psalmist mourned the blood unjust, And Christ condemned the proud and merciless Who placed their glory over trust. **[Chorus]** **When will the Messiah come? When will the blinded see? When will the hands that claim God's promise Learn what mercy is supposed to be? You can build a throne of iron, You can raise a wall of stone, But you cannot claim the heart of God While leaving love alone.** **[Verse 3 — The Land of Tears]** Palestine, your fields are grieving, Your streets are swallowed by the flame. The little ones who never chose this Bear the burden of another's name. The olive trees remember What the generations knew: That a land can hold a thousand sorrows And still be precious in God's view. No child should be a sacrifice To the ambitions of the strong. No mother should have to bury hope While the world debates who's wrong. And if the God of Abraham is watching, If He hears the orphan's plea, Then let the rulers answer For the blood they will not see. **[Bridge — The King Who Weeps]** Jesus wept for Jerusalem. He knew the city and its pain. He warned the proud who loved their titles While the poor were left in chains. He did not come to bless our cruelty, He did not teach the strong to sneer. He said that what we do to the least Is what we do to Him standing here. So do not use the name of Jesus As a shield against the cries. The King who wore a crown of thorns Sees through every grand disguise. And if you wait for His appearing, If you long to see His face, Then let the hungry find their bread, And let the wounded find their place. **[Breakdown — Spoken, Over a Low Drone]** The Messiah is not merchandise. The promise is not permission. The covenant is not a license To escape the call of righteousness. And no flag, no border, no government, No army, no earthly throne Can stand above the judgment Of the God who calls us His own. **[Final Chorus — Full Choir and Heavy Guitars]** **When will the Messiah come? When will the proud hearts bend? When will the slaughter finally cease, And the cries of children end? Let the captives be remembered, Let the grieving not be alone, Let justice flow like living water And mercy find a home.** Oh, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Your prophets' voices still remain. The God who hears the blood of Abel Has not forgotten human pain. **[Outro — A Solemn Prayer]** Come, Lord Jesus, bring Your justice. Come, Lord Jesus, end the night. Judge the wicked without partiality. Bring the suffering into light. Not by hatred. Not by vengeance. Not by the blood of innocent men. Let the proud be brought to answer. Let the broken live again. And when the King comes through the heavens, May He find us standing true— Not worshiping the works of our own hands, But loving what He told us to. **Maranatha.** Come, Lord Jesus. Come.
