"A werewolf that transforms into a cat. Aha!" Playlist - https://suno.com/playlist/86144b6f-94b5-48cc-9f6d-7b522e669235 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **[Intro β gentle lute melody, flowing hurdy-gurdy, soft medieval flute]** **[Verse 1 β melodic male storyteller, calm and warm]** At Lightwatch, evening touched the snow, the towers held its fading glow. Savar's banners crossed the sky above the valley far below. The High Priest watched the daylight fade, content to end another day. Then came a man from Markenau with something rather strange to say. **[Verse 2 β playful lute accompaniment, gentle rhythmic movement]** He read of claws and amber eyes, of guards thrown to the floor. Of chains that failed to hold a man who changed his shape once more. He read the letter once again, then slowly raised his head. The messenger stood patiently and waited till he said: **[Spoken dialogue β music stops, dignified male voice]** "A werewolf, then?" "Yes, my lord." "Who turns into a cat?" "...So they say." **[Short silence]** "I see." **[Instrumental pickup β flute answers the lute, gentle frame drum enters]** **[Chorus β flowing, memorable melody, two warm male voices harmonizing]** Fifteen men and one woman, riding down to Markenau. With the mountain snow behind them and a long road starting now. Fifteen men and one woman, sent to check a curious fact: Does a werewolf in the city really turn into a cat? **[Short instrumental refrain β playful flute and cittern melody]** A werewolf and a cat! Imagine that! **[Verse 3 β melodic storytelling, slightly amused delivery]** The messenger began explaining what the city guards had seen. A man who claimed to guard the mountains, though what that meant was far from clear. "He calls himself a Kaelun, whatever that may be. He broke his chains, he showed his claws, and frightened half the city." The High Priest listened patiently, then looked toward the evening sky. He folded up the letter and asked the messenger just why... **[Spoken dialogue β dry, unhurried, music reduced to a quiet drone]** "Did anyone ask the man what he is?" "He said he was a Kaelun, my lord." "Then why are you calling him a werewolf?" "Because of the teeth, my lord." "And the cat?" **[Brief silence]** "We're not entirely certain." **[Single dry lute chord]** "Clearly." **[Chorus β gentle rhythmic lift, melodic harmonies]** Fifteen men and one woman, riding down to Markenau. With the mountain snow behind them and a long road starting now. Fifteen men and one woman, sent to check a curious fact: Does a werewolf in the city really turn into a cat? **[Instrumental interlude β 20β30 seconds, lively lute and cittern melodies, flute answering in playful phrases, soft hurdy-gurdy underneath, flowing rhythm without marching]** **[Bridge β sung, slightly quicker rhythm, expressive storyteller]** "Send a scholar and a healer, send someone trained to read the signs. Take the proper chains and fetters, leave the silver in the mines. Markenau has found a problem, and now they send it through our door. Well, that's the work that Savar gave us. We've dealt with stranger things before." The scribe bent over parchment, his quill prepared to write. He waited for the final words to make the orders right. **[Spoken dialogue β sudden silence]** "And shall I mention the cat, my lord?" **[Short pause]** "Leave the cat out of it." **[Instrumental flourish β plucked lute, amused flute phrase]** **[Verse 4 β warm, flowing melody, gradually building]** Before the morning bells had sounded, the courtyard filled with morning light. The horses stood with saddles fastened, the riders gathered for their ride. Fifteen men and one woman stood beneath the fortress wall. They knew the road led down to Markenau, but little else at all. The gates swung wide, the horses moved, their hooves rang out on stone. The High Priest watched them from his window until the last had gone. **[Final Chorus β fuller melodic arrangement, three male voices harmonizing, warm flute countermelody]** Fifteen men and one woman, riding down to Markenau. With the mountain snow behind them and a long road starting now. Fifteen men and one woman, sent to check a curious fact: Does a werewolf in the city really turn into a cat? **[Chorus reprise β lighter, playful, voices answering one another]** Fifteen men and one woman, off to see what they can find. A werewolf who becomes a cat, or something of another kind. Fifteen men and one woman, and a letter sealed and signed. **[Music slows, lute and flute remain]** May Savar grant them patience. They'll need it, I surmise. **[Outro β nearly spoken, very dry High Priest voice]** The High Priest read the letter one final time that day. "A werewolf who turns into a cat..." **[Pause]** "By Savar." **[Almost whispered, exasperated]** "I sincerely hope those sixteen can count to three." **[One final playful flute phrase, single lute chord, end]**
