PUT IT TOGETHER

[Intro: upright bass, piano enters slowly] One piece don’t make a system. People. Purpose. Product. Position. Put it together. [Verse 1] Eight children, small-town Missouri, Segregated roads couldn’t shorten the journey. Daddy fixed engines, swept floors, hauled waste, Mama made abundance out of little on the plate. Before there was wealth, there was service. Before there was scale, there was purpose. Railroad sales, then FedEx grind, Top of the board by ’81. Awards on the shelf, still something felt hollow, Success in his hands, but the calling said follow. So he bet on himself, put the chips on the table, 1990, World Wide, build what you’re able. Quarter-million seed, but the dream needed weather, One company, one question: Can you put it together? [Hook] Put it together. People and the purpose, put it together. Vision with the service, put it together. Piece by piece, make the whole thing better. You don’t need to make every piece… Know how to put it together. [Verse 2: harder drums] Then came ’93. Tell that part. Repo man pulling that car from the parking lot. Banks shut down. Creditors calling. Lights went black in the middle of the office. Founder in the darkness, future looking distant, Faith in the foundation, service in the system. Pressure made patience. Patience made precision. Every little problem became another position. Listen. Customer got a problem? Learn it. Technology confusing? Turn it. Vendor got the pieces? Connect ’em. Make the whole solution worth more than the sections. That’s leverage. Relationship capital. Deliver every time, become operational. Hardware, software, networks in motion, He wasn’t selling boxes. He was selling solutions. [Hook] Put it together. People and the purpose, put it together. Technology and service, put it together. Piece by piece, make the whole thing better. You don’t need to make every piece… Know how to put it together. [Verse 3: rapid jazz flow] Now the tempo rise. Cloud with the cyber, data center, fiber, strategy, logistics, every system getting tighter. Test before deployment, prove before commitment, configure, integrate, ship it, then implement it. Wait. Everybody got a product. Everybody got a pitch. Value lives between ’em when you know what really fits. That’s the difference. Integration is intelligence. Complexity gets profitable when clarity is the benefit. Twenty-billion business, thousands on the mission, majority ownership changes your position. From the repo in the lot to technology labs, from the lights getting cut to infrastructure stacked. AI proving ground, future at the door, He built for the next wave while they studied the last one. That’s mastery. [Instrumental Break] One instrument… Beautiful. Whole band? Different. [Bridge: spoken over piano] Talent everywhere. Opportunity? Different story. So when you find a door, hold it open. Better yet… Build another one. [Verse 4] That’s why I study Steward when I’m building what I build. Different scale, same principle: implementation is a skill. I don’t gotta make the model to know where it belongs. Know the client. Know the problem. Bring the right technology on. AI here. Labor there. Stories over there. My gift is seeing bridges where they only see the air. Put the pieces in position, give the vision an engine. Turn scattered possibility into systems with intention. Smith taught capital. Perry taught ownership. Steward showed service can become infrastructure. Now combine all three, watch the blueprint get bigger. Acquire it. Create it. Integrate it. Deliver. Build enough value that the whole room gets richer. [Final Hook: full jazz band] PUT IT TOGETHER! People and the purpose, put it together! Capital and culture, put it together! Technology and service, put it together! Piece after piece, make the whole thing better! PUT IT TOGETHER! From the repo to the billions, put it together! One generation changing generations! Genius everywhere! Build the opportunity! PUT IT TOGETHER! [Outro: instruments disappear one by one] The billions ain’t the lesson. The company ain’t the lesson. The lesson is… What can you build with everything already around you? People. Technology. Opportunity. Purpose. Put it together.
