YOU WILL PROVIDE

VERSE 1 Seventy-five and settled, With a name and a field. Then a voice said, "Leave it," And it didn't say where. No map in my hand. No road I had known. Just a word from the Father: "Go, and I'll show." PRE-CHORUS So I packed up the comfort. I walked out of Ur. I don't know where I'm going, But I know who I'm going for. CHORUS You will provide. You will provide. On the mountain of the Lord It will be supplied. I don't see the lamb, But I see the One who sees. Father of the promise, You will provide for me. You will provide. VERSE 2 Count the stars if you can. That's how many will come. And I laughed in my tent 'Cause I didn't have one. Twenty-five years of waiting. Twenty-five years of "when." Then a baby was crying, And I laughed again. PRE-CHORUS So I packed up the comfort. I walked out of Ur. I don't know where I'm going, But I know who I'm going for. CHORUS You will provide. You will provide. On the mountain of the Lord It will be supplied. I don't see the lamb, But I see the One who sees. Father of the promise, You will provide for me. You will provide. VERSE 3 "Take your son, your only son, The one that you love." Three days of walking. Wood on his back. He said, "Father, here's the fire, But where is the lamb?" I said, "God will provide it," And I held his hand. BRIDGE 1 Stop. Don't touch him. Now I know that you fear. Look up, Abraham. There's a ram caught here. BRIDGE 2 On that same ridge of stone, The Father gave His Son. And no voice called out, "Stop." No ram took His place. He was the Lamb. He was the Lamb. He was the Lamb that God provided. BRIDGE 3 Look up. Look up. The Lord will provide. Look up. Look up. Jehovah Jireh. FINAL CHORUS You will provide. You will provide. On the mountain of the Lord It will be supplied. I don't see the lamb, But I see the One who sees. Father of the promise, You will provide for me. You will provide. OUTRO He provided. He provided. The Lamb.
