Trapped in the darkness I feel the rhythm of my heart Every beat echoes the past The world around me falls apart The dark beat drives me on Through light and shadow, I can't rest Searching for my lost self Until I reach the other side Broken bridges lie ahead Time has torn everything apart But I must go on, can't turn back A storm of doubt rages in my head The dark beat drives me on Through light and shadow, I can't rest Searching for my lost self Until I reach the other side They tell me I should let go Turn around and forget But I keep running, day and night 'Til I reach where promises live The dark beat drives me on Through light and shadow, I can't rest Searching for my lost self Until I reach the other side The dark beat in my veins Pushes me on, I won't give up Until I reach the other side Where I'll find myself again
