# 🎵 The Lion's Mark (The True Vision) *By Sheryl Clyde / Thunderbird* **[Intro]** *The Sanctuary* **[Verse 1]** I stood inside the temple walls, the air was still and cool, Confessing every hidden wound beside a quiet pool. I spoke with just a mortal man, a watchman on the way, Pouring out the weight I carried, every word I had to say. It wasn't Jesus seated there, but one who simply knew The path that leads the weary heart when grace is making all things new. **[Verse 2]** Then my eyes were drawn beyond him to a heavy iron door, A silent line of holiness I'd never crossed before. I reached toward the ancient handle when the atmosphere grew still, And a voice like rolling thunder shook my body and my will: *"Do not enter! Turn back now! Keep your trembling hands aside! This is not the gentle Savior who was mocked and crucified. Behind that door is Majesty no mortal heart can bear— The Lion of Judah reigns within... His glory fills the air!"* **[Pre-Chorus]** My heart was bound in trembling, every breath became a prayer, Yet love for Christ was stronger than the terror waiting there. If holiness consumed me, then let it be that day— I'd rather die before His feet than turn my heart away. So through my fear I reached ahead... I pulled the iron chain... I opened wide the hidden door... And stepped into the flame. **[Chorus]** And there He stood! The King of kings! No suffering Lamb alone! The Lion crowned in living fire, The everlasting throne! He did not cast me into dust, Nor leave me in despair. In the center of consuming flame He claimed me then and there. He marked me! He sealed me! His fire became my life! The Daughter of Fire awakened there Where death should have claimed my life. **[Verse 3]** Then the courtroom faded from me as the heavens opened wide, And through a crystal window burned the blazing eastern sky. The unrestrained glory of the Lord came clothed in living light, So beautiful... so terrible... I could not bear the sight. Every wall within my spirit crumbled into dust, Every hidden strength dissolved, every fragment of my trust. Too holy to endure alone—no flesh could stand that blaze— Yet His hand held fast my trembling soul beneath His burning gaze. **[Bridge]** Then I saw it in the heavens— A burning stone descending fast, A messenger of judgment, Like justice come at last. The earth itself grew silent, The mountains seemed to bow, Every prideful thing within me Was broken even now. I did not flee the Holy Fire. I did not hide my face. The flame that should have ended me Became redeeming grace. If this is where the broken live... If this is where the proud must die... Then let me burn until You see Only Christ alive. **[Final Chorus]** And there He stood! The King of kings! The Lion clothed in flame! The sovereign Lord of heaven's host, Forevermore the same! He did not strike me into dust, Nor turn His face away. Inside the fire that should destroy He called me by my name. He marked me! He sealed me! His Spirit breathed through mine! The Daughter of Fire awakened there Within the Holy Flame. **[Outro]** The sanctuary trembled. The hidden door stood open. The Lion never moved— Yet everything in me had changed. The fire did not consume me. It purified me. And in the midst of uncreated light... He called me by name.
