Off The Rose

Nothing worse than being a flash in the pan- It's a sinking sensation Always looking for the next big thing… Until you're beaten up and bleeding half to death Blooms now faded Petals turned to rot Now irrelevant- You scream 'forget me not!' You're off the rose If only the strong survive, then what are you- What are you doing here? You should be busy reinventing your wheel. Come back, come back tomorrow. Blooms now faded Petals turned to rot Now irrelevant- You scream 'forget me not!' You're off the rose Blooms now faded Petals turned to rot Now irrelevant- You scream 'forget me not!' You're off the rose I've never seen a walking cliché before- Now I've seen it all. The way you vie for attention constantly It's a Greek tragedy unfolding. Blooms now faded Petals turned to rot Now irrelevant- You scream 'forget me not!' You're off the rose Even thorns have a purpose Seems yours are just worthless Blooms now faded Petals turned to rot Now irrelevant- You scream 'forget me not!' You're off the rose Blooms now faded, faded, faded Petals turned to rot Now irrelevant- You scream 'forget me not!' You're off the rose ---- You're of the rose, the rose, you're off the ROSE!
