Fragments of the Mother (Eve) - The Night I Was Born to You Again - ~ A Reincarnation of Love and Forgiveness ~ 【Prologue】 The final chapter of the Anti-Ethical Trilogy. Not that I’m trying to preach anything grand. When I delved into both the Oedipus and Electra complexes, I stumbled upon something bare and uncomfortable — a truth I didn’t want to accept, yet could no longer deny. It mirrors the fall of the Mother Goddess and the rise of paternal faith — a world where the Mother is cast into the abyss, and the obedient children (including those taken) bow before the Father. There might be salvation for Electra, but not for Oedipus. As I wrote in Chapter II — “Oedipus and Electra: Paradise in the Mirror”, I longed to find a path toward the sublimation of Oedipus’ pain — and in that search, I found myself before Mitochondrial Eve. Perhaps it’s bold of me to write beyond Freud or Jung — but I did it anyway. That’s the story, more or less. 【Lyrics】 [Intro] In the depths where the moon sinks quietly, your name still echoes. At the end of a forbidden dream, I am searching for you once more. [Verse 1] In the warmth of your touch, the world breathes again. Who decided what “forbidden love” means, and why must we obey? A mother’s voice, softly calling your name within my chest. [Pre-Chorus] Ah— I can hear the heartbeat, neither confession nor prayer, but the proof of love itself. [Chorus] I was born to give birth to you once more, again and again. Before the dawn, I want to hold you tight. From the abyss, a single wish blooms — “Let’s meet again.” That is my only prayer. [Verse 2] Seeking light, embracing darkness — that is the shape of our love. Cells of memory whisper, “This love will not fade.” An ancient voice murmurs your name deep within my chest. [Pre-Chorus] Ah— I can feel the pulse, neither redemption nor vow, but the sign of divine compassion. [Chorus] I was born to watch over you, again and again. Before the dawn, I want to hold you tight. From the abyss, a single wish blooms — “Let’s meet again.” That is my only vow. [Bridge] Changing names, changing forms, still singing the same song. Love is forgiveness, and the abyss, our place of reunion. There lies nothing special — just an ordinary poem of love. “Welcome home.” “Thank you.” “I’m home.” “I love you.” “Let’s meet again.” “Be happy.” “Live — and pass on.” [Final Chorus] If the world ends in your arms, that’s all right. From the tears, a single light blooms. “Welcome home.” Once more, I will love you. [Outro] Beyond the abyss, a crimson dawn. Paradise is gone — only the continuation of love remains. “Let’s meet again.” That was my very first wish.
