This is a cover of the main theme from the ZX Spectrum game Professional Tennis Simulator. I originally composed this tune myself in the late 1980s—or maybe it was 1990, I honestly can't remember! The game was programmed by a friend of mine, Francisco Pérez. Back then, I was just starting to experiment with music on my Spectrum, and he asked me to write the soundtrack for his game, which was eventually published by the Spanish software company Dinamic. It's certainly not a masterpiece, but you could say it was my very first professional music job! 😄 As a result, I was able to get hold of the same music editor that Dinamic used for their own games, which was actually a pretty nice piece of software. The only catch was that it only ran from floppy disks and required a ZX Spectrum +3, which I didn't own, so I had to borrow one just to use it. Many years have passed since then, but I still look back on those days with a lot of nostalgia. By the way, as payment for the soundtrack, my friend later gave me an Amiga Action Replay II for my brand-new Commodore Amiga. I was absolutely thrilled! Thanks so much for listening, and thanks for your likes and comments!
