[Verse] They gathered in the upper room Hearts in wait and fear The sound of rushing wind began The Spirit drawing near Tongues of fire lit their way The darkness turned to light The same flame burns within us now And sets our hearts alight [Chorus] Oh Spirit come Like wind and flame Fill our hearts We call Your name From age to age You stay the same Unite us now Erase our shame [Verse 2] They walked as strangers in their land Yet boldness filled their stride Proclaiming truth in every tongue With Heaven as their guide We walk these streets So different now Yet still we feel the call To stand in love To share the truth To rise when shadows fall [Chorus] Oh Spirit come Like wind and flame Fill our hearts We call Your name From age to age You stay the same Unite us now Erase our shame [Bridge] The need is clear The cry remains The hunger for the fire To burn away the fear we hold To lift our spirits higher Though centuries have come and gone One truth is always clear The Spirit moves in every heart The same love draws us near [Chorus] Oh Spirit come Like wind and flame Fill our hearts We call Your name From age to age You stay the same Unite us now Erase our shame
