Loose standalone adaptation of a storyline in a project of mine called the Cores-verse. Song #5 in the Stellian Empire album. https://suno.com/playlist/1c80a62a-8932-4843-97a4-2a1727916c3d (storyline is in song order). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Intro] Here in this tunnel I was sent to explore I spot three corpses Still on the floor [Break] Raactan... Of course. [Verse] Feeding on the rot WIth spines streched too long Chunky rat-like beasts As tall as my knees Fuzzy black fur Tails can whip and coil They'll ignore me If I do the same [Chorus] Moving deeper Past the scavengers I do as I'm ordered Keep pressing forward [Verse] Next monster I encounter A lone silantos With sand-tan scales It has the head of a croc And body of a snake With the wings of a bat It can pounce in a flap [Bridge] With one springy motion It moves my way I sidestep the crushing bite force But with those wings it changes course I raise my shield It slithers around To snap at my shoulder With my shield out I bash it to the wall I slide my blade To the soft side of it's neck I slash off its head And take a breath [Chorus] Moving deeper Past the predator I do as I'm ordered Keep pressing forward [Outro] Hm? So... Chase missed some. He always did struggle with foresight.
